April 22, 2022 — Willowbrook, Illinois … Following the successful release of their 2022 guide, Sports Planning Guide (SPG)’s newly revamped website launched an all-out effort to enhance its content focusing on tournament-ready sports facilities. A new content series titled Fields & Facilities, highlights top sporting venues from its member destinations. The goal of this new content series being to promote state, regional or nationwide venues by sport or class. Event planners looking for the specifics, such as baseball fields for youth programs in the Carolinas, will find exactly what they need at SPG.

Fields & Facilities articles provide in-depth coverage of all the important details for each venue covered. Whether a baseball field’s fencing or pitcher’s mound can be moved or how many multipurpose fields will have lighting for night games, SPG has those details and more so that planners won’t have to search anywhere else.

“Springfield being included in SPG’s facility articles has proved to be invaluable. As a mid-tier city, we know that in many cases our facilities are comparable or exceed venues that larger cities have to offer,” said Terry Truman, CHA, sales manager at Visit Springfield. “Exposure in these articles allows us to showcase these hidden gems. BOS Center (Springfield’s Convention Center) continues to grow in notoriety and this summer is slated to host two national gymnastics meets.”

Since launching the in-depth Fields & Facilities content series at the end of 2021, SPG has also elevated its social media presence on all fronts with many of these content series posts having seen significant interaction. For instance, a nationwide ice hockey facilities article has received over 600 likes and more than 50 shares and retweets across multiple platforms. The publishing firm’s new LinkedIn page has also seen a jump in followers by nearly 100 within the past week alone.
