Willowbrook, Illinois, October 31, 2025 — Premier Travel Media is proud to announce that its Route 66 Centennial Celebration Project has been officially designated a Route 66 Certified Project, marking an important milestone in the nationwide commemoration of America’s “Main Street.”
The Route 66 Centennial Commission Act (H.R. 66) was passed by the U.S. Congress on December 17, 2020, and signed into law by President Donald J. Trump on December 23, 2020. The act established the U.S. Route 66 Centennial Commission to guide and lead the United States’ official centennial commemoration of this iconic American treasure.
Projects certified under this initiative are recognized as official components of the Route 66 Centennial Celebration, provided they align with the Route 66 Centennial Strategy adopted by the Commission. This strategy aims to celebrate and commemorate the 100th anniversary of Route 66—honoring the road’s history while helping the millions who live, work and travel along it. To qualify, projects must recognize the role Route 66 played in U.S. history and publicly honor the road and the people associated with it.
As excitement builds for the 2026 Centennial, Premier Travel Media is helping destinations and attractions capitalize on the growing buzz surrounding Route 66 travel. Through strategic content platforms, the company connects advertisers with a targeted audience of domestic and international travel planners, tour operators, educators and travel advisors who are actively creating Americana-themed itineraries for the celebration year.
To amplify visibility and engagement, Premier Travel Media has launched two signature initiatives:
- InSite on Route 66, a monthly pop-up newsletter that debuted in September 2025, spotlighting centennial events, themed road trips and historic attractions along the Mother Road.
- Route 66 Celebration Trip Planner, publishing in January 2026, a comprehensive guide designed to inspire and inform both group and independent travelers eager to experience the nostalgia and adventure of Route 66.
“These platforms connect Route 66 destinations, attractions and partners with audiences who share a deep appreciation for the Mother Road,” said Jeff Gayduk, President of Premier Travel Media. “Earning Route 66 Certified Project status reinforces our dedication to celebrating this American icon while providing powerful exposure for our partners.”
Premier Travel Media invites destinations, attractions and tourism organizations to join this historic celebration and take advantage of high-visibility advertising opportunities that engage travelers eager to rediscover Route 66.
